Monster Energy backed drift driver Steve ‘Baggsy’ Biagioni literally has motorsport in the blood, and has been in the driving seat since he could reach the pedals. Hailing from Upminster in Essex, Baggsy has come a long way since helping his dad fix karts in the British Championship, and is currently one of the hottest prospects in Drifting to come from UK shores.
Having learnt his craft at a young age on two wheels and four – Karting and Motocross – Baggsy has achieved success in every series he has raced in. In the ten years he has been competitively drifting, Baggsy has won the British Drift Championship, and become a force to be reckoned with in the UK and European drift scene.
As well as making demo appearances at the FIA World Rallycross Championship, Gymkhana GRiD Series, goodwood festival of speed, Nascar and Monza Rally Show alongside Lewis Hamilton, Valentino Rossi and Ken Block, Baggsy has achieved notable success in the acclaimed ‘King of Europe Drift Pro Series’ - 'Drift Allstars PrO Series' - ‘Irish Drift Championship’ - ‘British Drift Championship’ and ‘Drift mAsters GP’. Taking his foot to the floor style to every corner of Europe, Baggsy secured numerous podiums, as well as taking victory and the €10,000 prize purse at the season ending invitational King of Europe Superfinal.
2019 was another huge season for the 32 year old. At the wheel of his newly rebuilt Nissan PS13, he campaigned a full season of competition in UK and Europe, securing second place at the German round of the Drift Masters European Championship in July. On top of this he also performed demonstrations for Monster Energy, FIA World Rallycross and more. As well as creating the second instalment of his ‘Driftenberg’ video franchise, dubbed “Return To Driftenberg”.
2021 is already looking like another busy year for Baggsy and the SB Motorsport team, with a full season of events, Competitive & Smoke Show demonstrations. With the rebuild of the epic fire breathing V8 Nissan GTR and the creation of the Nissan Navara-R, this year is already set to be huge.
